Children are well catered for by a selection of good educational facilities within the local area, including a primary school a mile from the development, and secondary schools in the market town of Tring, just three miles away, and the very popular Aylesbury Grammar School.

Tring also offers a wide range of shops, sporting and leisure pursuits, while Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard and Hemel Hempstead are all within a 10-mile radius of Castlemead.

For those travelling further afield, the M25 is 20 miles away, and the M1 north and south is just 10 miles. Tring Station provides services to London Euston in 45 minutes

Directions

Directions from the M1 J11

Leave the M1 at Junction 11 and take the 1st exit onto the A505/Dunstable Road heading to Dunstable. Continue on this road going straight over 1 roundabout. The A505 turns into Luton Road and then Church Street.

Go straight across the A5/High St onto B489/West St.(This road turns into Tring Road and Icknield Way). Stay on this road going straight over 5 roundabouts.

At the junction turn right onto the B488/Church Road. Continue around the left hand bend onto the B489/High St and go over one more roundabout.

You will now be on Marsworth Road. After the roundabout take your first left onto Westfield Road and you will find the entrance to Castlemead on your left hand side – please follow the signs to customer parking.

Directions from the A41 (Aylesbury)

Head south on the A41 heading to Tring/Hemel Hempstead/London. Take the B489/Lower Icknield Way exit (4.6 miles south of Aylesbury). Continue on the B489 for approximately 3 miles (stay left) and go straight over 1
roundabout.

Once you have crossed the railway line take the first exit on your right onto Westfield Road. You will find the entrance to Castlemead on your left hand side – please follow the signs to customer parking.

Education

Castlemead in Pitstone is within the school catchment area for the very popular Aylesbury Vale Grammar school and also The Cottesloe School, formerly known as Wing Secondary school.

Transport

You will find an Arriva bus service with access to Luton Airport from Ivinghoe Village green, just 1.1 miles from Castlemead OR from Vicarage Road, Marworth, just 1.30 miles from Castlemead.

You can also travel to Tring High Street (just 3.1 miles away) easily by bus service from the Ivinghoes Green Arriva bus stop.
