Leisure facilities

You’ll find Burntisland a lively little town with a number of historical features and a range of amenities. There are a variety of shops, a local library, a museum and a modern leisure centre with a 25m pool with flumes, fitness suite and sauna. The town hosts its own highland games held on the links and boasts an 18 hole golf course which is among the oldest in the region. Local landmarks include the 12th century Rossend Castle, now restored and converted into offices, the Burgh Chambers and the octagonal-towered St Columba’s Church.

There are plenty of opportunities for walking and exploring including the very popular beach and promenade, awarded Blue Flag status in 2001, and the Binn, 1 200m high volcanic hill at the back of the town, giving lovely views once you’ve climbed to the top.
