National housebuilder Barratt Homes is hosting a special event at its Gatekeeper Meadow development of new homes in Hertfordshire this Saturday 11th February. Edd Kimber, aka "The Boy Who Bakes", who won the Great British Bake Off on BBC2 in 2010, will be presenting a special Valentine's Day demonstration at the scheme, making chocolates and signing copies of his recently published book, from 11.00am to 3.00pm.
Christine Scarborough, Sales Director for Barratt North London, says: "We are delighted to have a professional like Edd on hand at the weekend to show off his winning skills in our new kitchens at Gatekeeper Meadow and what better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than with a selection of delicious chocolates. As well as being able to watch the chocolate treats being made, those who come can also meet Edd and get a signed copy of his latest cookbook."
House hunters will also be able to have a look around the three-bedroom show home at the site and speak with the Barratt Homes team about the range of apartments, coach houses, semi-detached homes and detached luxury houses for sale at the development. Prices for the first phase start at £334,950, for a three-bedroom property.
Gatekeeper Meadow is located in a lovely village set in the Hertfordshire countryside between Hertford and Stevenage. Watton-at-Stone is far from remote, however, thanks to good road links nearby, including the A1(M), A10 and M25, and a rail station (just half a mile from the development) taking commuters direct into London in under 50 minutes.
The development is ideally located for anyone needing convenient access to the capital or towns and cities such as St Albans, Cambridge and Luton, but who is hoping to find a property in a countryside location. The village has a range of everyday amenities, including a post office and doctor's surgery, plus a couple of pubs.
