With PX Plus, Taylor Wimpey guarantees its customer a price for their existing property, so that if they can't sell it on the open market, the company will buy it, as part exchange for a brand new home at Greenacres.

The housebuilder arranges for independent valuations of the customer's home and makes an offer based on the average of these. The customer can then try to find a buyer for the best price they can on the open market, knowing that after four to six weeks, Taylor Wimpey will step in to buy the home at that agreed price if no other purchaser is found. Whichever way they sell, the customer's estate agency fees are picked up by Taylor Wimpey too.
