Linden Homes have been getting in touch with their artistic side in two of their latest show homes. To make sure their properties are appealing to the younger generation, who often accompany their parents on show home visits, the developer has dedicated two bedrooms to popular childrens characters. In one of their Bingham show homes, the developer has opted for a Roald Dahl themed bedroom to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his work The BFG. While a show home in Rutland has been decorated with a Hello Kitty theme.
At the Bluebell development in Bingham, there is a hand painted mural from James and the Giant Peach in a bedroom of childhood dreams. The room also alludes to Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox with a cuddly fox toy and there is a selection of the author's books on offer.
Sales director Chris Roads says: "We obviously want to capture the imagination of our show home visitors at all our sites, but when we launched this development in the summer we wanted a fun focal point - and the inspired decision was to use Roald Dahl, whose characters provoke people's imaginations, whatever their age."
A range of three- and four-bedroom homes make up the development, which have been carefully designed to meet the growing demand of new homes customers and cater for a selection of needs and budgets - including families. Prices for four- bedroom homes start from £264,950.
At the Orchid development in Oakham Vale, one of the bedrooms in the Polebrook show home pays homage to the popular children's character Hello Kitty. The large mural of the character is set against a theme of pink and white throughout the rest of the room.
Linden Homes sales executive Eileen Irwin said: "Everyone who takes a look around the show home comments on what has become known as the ‘Hello Kitty' room! It certainly provides a talking point among our more discerning younger visitors."
Orchid is a collection of traditionally inspired family homes and apartments ranging from one- and two- bedroom apartments and three- and four- bedroom homes. Prices start at this development from £119,500 for apartments and £139,950 for two- bedroom terraced homes.
