Homebuyers in Lincs and South Yorks get helping hand from Redrow

Thursday 13th January 2011

Now is a good time to be looking for new homes in South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire as Redrow has a number of ways to help homebuyers secure the property of their dreams in the region. Through shared equity, part exchange and some special offers, suddenly many house hunters who thought they may have to wait will find themselves able to buy a brand new home from Redrow.

With developments in Grimsby, Barton-upon-Humber and Doncaster benefitting from the deals available, buyers who may have thought that a new-build home was beyond their means will now be able to enjoy the benefits of buying a brand new home direct from the housebuilder.

Redrow still has funding available from the government-backed HomeBuy Direct initiative. This allows eligible homebuyers to have complete ownership of their new home for an initial payment of 70% of the price. The balance is granted as a loan to the owner from the housebuilder and the Homes and Communities Agency, interest-free for five years.

At Danum St Giles, a development in Scawthorpe just north-west of Doncaster, a three-bedroom Fairwood home style priced at £134,950 would require an initial outlay of just £94,465 with HomeBuy Direct, bringing a well-specified new home within the reach of many first time buyers, growing families and those getting back on the property ladder again.

Redrow has a limited offer until 31st January where anyone making a reservation on one of their new homes will receive carpets, curtains, light fittings and a turfed garden for free - and there's a further discount of £250 off the reservation fee when buyers present a voucher that is downloadable from the Redrow website. This could be a considerable benefit at Fox's Fold, in Barton-uopn-Humber. There are plenty of home styles for buyers to choose from, including some from the company's much-admired New Heritage Collection, which combines traditional architecture with top-quality interior fittings and finishes.

With some existing property owners struggling to find a buyer for their home, the wait to be able to commit to a new home can seem interminable. Redrow has a solution with its part exchange scheme, available on selected plots. By agreeing a value for the old home with the housebuilder, the buyer is then free from a sales chain and can look forward to moving into their new Redrow home very swiftly. There are a wide range of houses for sale at Kirk's Paddock in Scartho Top, near Grimsby, with two-bedroom homes from £112,999 and three- and four-bedroom homes from £144,999 and the part exchange programme is available in certain of them.

The HomeBuy Direct funds, part exchange scheme and special reservation offer for January are available at all of the Redrow developments named above. Find out more about them on Redrow.TV and contact Redrow for specific details at each site.
