Affordable homes in Worcester
Thirty four new affordable homes have been built on the site of a former youth centre in Warndon, a suburb and civil parish of the City of Worcester in Worcestershire, some of which will be available for shared ownership.
The mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, two bedroom bungalows and one- and two-bed apartments, have been created on Chedworth Drive as part of a £4.6m scheme, part funded by the government's Homes and Community Agency (HCA).
Affordable new homes in Surrey
Thames Valley Housing has launched Life Horley, a development of 18 two-bedroom affordable homes located in the popular commuter town of Horley in Surrey. The new homes are available through shared ownership, the government initiative, which aims to help people purchase their own home. Prices at Life Horley start from £74,000 for a 40% share in a £185,000 apartment.
New affordable homes for Shropshire
Shropshire Council has announced plans to build 62 affordable homes around the county, with all 62 units expected to be completed by March 2015. The schemes will include a mixture of tenures, with 25 low-cost homes for purchase and 37 for affordable rent.
Affordable homes in Bourne
Housebuilder Larkfleet Homes has started work on 20 affordable homes in Bourne Road, Morton. The development will feature 12 two-bedroom houses, two two-bedroom bungalows and two four-bedroom houses. Some of the new homes will be available for shared ownership.
New affordable homes in Gloucestershire
Up to 30 affordable homes will be developed off Hanover Street as part of Cheltenham Borough Homes' regeneration of St Paul's, said to be worth over £7m.
Affordable new homes in Wrexham
As much as £13m is being made available for the construction of affordable homes in Wrexham, where Rhyl-based Anwyl Construction is building 127 new homes on two sites in partnership with Wrexham council. The properties are being developed on two sites in Kingsmills Road and Rivulet Road, with both scheduled for completion by December 2013.
