Specialist social housing contractor and new homes developer United House have joined forces on a framework contract worth a total of £500m with a view to building thousands of new affordable homes in London over the next four years.
The focus of the works will be mainly in urban areas and town centres, on both greenfield and brownfield sites. The new homes being built will be ‘moderate to high' and ‘very high' in density and number of storeys. The works will also incorporate renewable technologies and all forms of construction techniques.
Doreen Wright, A2Dominion's development director, said: "A2Dominion is one of the country's leading developing housing associations and we have thousands of homes in the development pipeline in London. We look forward to working alongside United House to deliver more high-quality new homes in the capital."
The framework is for contracts with an estimated value of between £5m - £25m per year.
Jeffrey Adams, group chief executive of United House, commented: "Securing this long-term framework with A2Dominion Group reflects our reputation for delivering quality work on major works across London, on time, on budget and at a competitive price. Customer service is our ultimate priority and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with A2Dominion Group in the future."
