In our final look at new home developments by Redrow New Homes this week, we take a look at new housing projects in Fleetwood, Wrexham, Plymouth and Derbyshire.
Redrow New Homes in Plymouth
Redrow Homes has marked the relaunch of its Vision development with a state-of the-art new sales office and show home.
Following a recent investment of almost £3m from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), it's full steam ahead at Vision, where Redrow is partway through a major facelift for the former South Yard Enclave.
The new home developer has invested heavily in the new marketing suite, which will give buyers the opportunity to take virtual tours of the latest homes and see detailed plans for the next phases of redevelopment. They will also be able to look around a professionally designed, decorated and fully furnished show home.
Vision will eventually consist of hundreds of new homes alongside shops and community facilities, which will revitalise the local economy. With 84 new homes built, subsequent phases of development were put on hold last year due to market conditions and whilst an application for investment from the HCA's Kickstart programme was considered.
Now, with the HCA investment secured, Redrow is confident the local market is showing sufficient signs of recovery to relaunch sales and move forward at a pace with building works on site.
Vanessa Randall-Short, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: "We are delighted to be relaunching our Vision development, which has already played such a major role in rejuvenating the heart of the Devonport community. An area of the town centre that was ‘out of bounds' to local people is once again a place for them to live, work and play.
"We are beginning to see signs of improvement in the local market and are confident that the contemporary new homes at Vision will meet this growing demand. We are opening a high-tech new sales office and a stylish show home to give potential purchasers plenty to see."
A four-bedroom ‘Sound' style show home will promote the new phase and show off Redrow's high quality interior specification. There will also be a finished and carpeted two-bedroom ‘Yealm' apartment to view.
Randall-Short adds: "The ‘Sound' show home has been given a young and fresh feel with a colour scheme of red, cream and gold, but will appeal to a wide range of potential purchasers including young families.
"The open-plan lounge and dining room has a beautiful cream corner sofa complemented by oak furniture. A contemporary touch has been added with chrome light fittings. To showcase its suitability as a family home, the interior designers have created a gorgeous butterfly themed girl's room and a ‘retro' styled boy's room, with stunning Harlequin wallpaper featuring scooters, VW camper vans and boats. The master bedroom has been given a sumptuous elegant feel with a teal and gold colour scheme."
Redrow was chosen as preferred developer by national regeneration agency HCA (formerly English Partnerships) to build a development of 460 new homes together with a range of community facilities.
For those wanting to be part of this award winning project, homes are currently priced from £102,995 for a one-bedroom property up to £169,995 for a four-bedroom home.
Redrow New Homes in Fleetwood
Homebuyers in Fleetwood will be able to enjoy the charm of an older property and the style of a brand new home - all in a tranquil location.
Designs from the housebuilder's New Heritage Collection were among the first properties to be released for sale when the long awaited Harbour Village in Fleetwood was launched last weekend.
Harbour Village is set in a tranquil coastal location and overlooks two sites of special interest. It is bounded on the east by the Wyre Estuary - noted for its population of over wintering birds - and to the south by the Fleetwood Marsh Nature Reserve, which is a Biological Heritage Site.
Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Lancashire), commented: "The beauty of the area surrounding Harbour Village is perhaps one of Lancashire's best kept secrets, making it the ideal location for our New Heritage Collection of traditional looking homes.
"Inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, with modern interiors styled for 21st century family living, the New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product. It's proved popular across the country, including other parts of Lancashire where buyers have said the properties feel like home, and we're confident it will be a hit in Fleetwood."
There's been a lot of work involved in preparing what was once a brownfield site for the new homes - raising the site levels using sand dredged from the sea and constructing a lengthy entrance road.
The first phase of new build homes to be released will offer a blend of two, three and four-bedroom properties, with prices starting from £116,995. HomeBuy Direct is available on selected plots enabling eligible purchasers to snap up a brand new home at a fraction of the cost.
"The mix of properties available at Harbour Village means there's something for everyone - from first time buyers and downsizers looking for somewhere more manageable to growing families in search of extra space," Myers commented.
"All of the homes will boast Redrow's high specification interiors including fashionable kitchens with floor to ceiling cabinets and top name appliances and sleek modern bathrooms with quality fixtures and fittings."
In later phases homes will be available facing the marina, including some magnificent plots with views out over the estuary.
There's easy access to the M55 and M6, the attractions of Blackpool are just eight miles away and Freeport Fleetwood is nearby, offering 50 famous name stores.
Redrow New Homes in Wrexham
There are now three new show homes now open at Pentre Bach in Wrexham - just a short commute from Chester.
Two-bedroom homes at Pentre Bach are available from £128,995; while a three-bedroom ‘Farnell', similar to one of the show homes, is on the market at £169,995.
Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (North West), said: "The choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes at Pentre Bach means that there's something for everyone - from those starting out, to families in search of extra space to downsizers looking for something more manageable.
"With that in mind, our team of professional interior designers has dressed the show homes to have broad appeal while also demonstrating the true potential of a brand new Redrow home. We've had lots of visitors through the doors and have received extremely positive feedback."
The show homes showcase the three-bedroom ‘Elworth' and ‘Farnell' house types, plus the four-bedroom ‘Hambledon'. The ‘Elworth' is a traditional two-storey home, while the ‘Farnell' and ‘Hambledon' are designed over three floors to maximise the space available.
Located off Ruthin Road, just a short distance from Wrexham town centre, Pentre Bach benefits from the town's amenities but is also close to the glorious North Wales countryside. It's well placed for commuting to Chester and Oswestry and is around seven miles from the A55 North Wales Coast Road.
Redrow New Homes in Derbyshire
Open-plan, family oriented homes offering affordable luxury without the need for DIY are proving a hit with South Derbyshire homebuyers.
Priory Fields in Church Gresley, near Swadlincote, was one of the first locations in the country to feature designs from Redrow's New Heritage Collection.
While the new homes have received critical acclaim, the housebuilder wanted to know what customers across the UK really think about them and so organised a series of focus groups at developments including Priory Fields.
Pauline Turnbull, sales director for Redrow Homes (Midlands), explained: "At Redrow we're keen to listen to our customers and in fact designed the New Heritage Collection in response to feedback from homebuyers who told us they wanted traditional looking properties with modern interiors.
"But to make sure we continue to deliver quality built homes that people really want to live in, we invited customers who bought at Priory Fields to share their feedback and give their opinions on what's important when purchasing a property."
A cross section of buyers has invested in New Heritage Collection homes at Priory Fields - including families, first time buyers and empty nesters - demonstrating that the premium housing product has broad appeal.
Customers said the homes are ‘practical' and ‘liveable', offering ‘affordable luxury'.
"While some people have the confidence to buy ‘off plan', others says they can't visualise the layout without viewing a show home and see it as essential to establish the quality and finish of the properties," Turnbull commented.
"Customers like to imagine themselves living in a show home and many choose to replicate the look that our teams of professional interior designers have created.
"The convivial open-plan layouts of the New Heritage Collection are designed with modern family living in mind, and the ‘Lincoln' show home at Priory Fields is a prime example. Its L-shaped kitchen/diner/ family room truly does have the wow factor and has inspired buyers, who have been able to appreciate the potential uses of the rooms."
Current availability at Priory Fields includes a selection of three and four-bedroom homes from the New Heritage Collections, with prices from £144,995.
