The Home Group hope that plans for new affordable homes in Leeds are approved.
A planning application for the construction of in excess of 50 affordable homes in Leeds has been submitted by Home Group to the city council.
If approved, Mansell will be appointed to develop the new homes as part of a £10m project on a former factory site on Theaker Lane in the Armley area of the city.
Aside from the new homes, a 64-bed care home would also be developed by LNT Construction for Ideal Care Homes as part of the scheme, which would be part funded by the Homes & Communities Agency.
Teresa Snaith, head of development at the Home Group, said: "The current site is overgrown and hasn't been used for a number of years. At a consultation event we held with local residents they have said that they are keen to see the area regenerated and put to good use."
Craig Houston of Mansell's Yorkshire Business Unit, commented: "We are excited to be involved with this major regeneration scheme, hopefully one of the first of many site-led opportunities to come to fruition in the coming months."
