Planning consent has been awarded for the construction of 29 new affordable homes in Bradford, with work set to get underway next month.
The £4.3m Bradford Council-led new homes development in Beech Grove, Undercliffe, gained approval from councillors' who were impressed with the proposals.
Paul Flowers, Bradford Council executive member responsible for housing, told the press: "This scheme will provide much-needed affordable homes in Undercliffe so it is great news that we have reached this milestone in the project.
"Dozens of families will benefit from this scheme and I hope construction can begin very soon."
The new home development will be the second recent council-led affordable housing scheme in Bradford, after building work started on 45 affordable homes in West Bowling earlier this year.
There are currently number of new homes in Bradford and the wider West Yorkshire area available to buy.
Berkeley Homes is currently offering affordable homes for sale at Wheatley Chase, in Halifax, which features a selection of two, three and four bedroom family homes, with prices starting from £122,999.
Elsewhere, Greenhouse apartments in Leeds, developed by Citu, are available to buy from £93,000.
