Mayor opens new homes development in Northamptonshire

New homes development The Lanterns by Bloor Homes has been officially opened by the Mayor of Irthlingborough, Councillor Marika Hillson. The event launched some new show homes for homebuyers.

The Lanterns, located on Finedon Road, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, comprises a range of two, three and four bedroom houses. The new homes in the development are available to buy through the government's FirstBuy scheme.

Under this new initiative, purchasers can secure a new home at The Lanterns for just 80% of the property's market value, meaning that three-bedroom homes at the development are available for just £119,960. The remaining 20% is paid by a shared equity loan funded by Bloor Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Mayor Hillson said. "The location Bloor Homes chose has brightened up the area with the variety of homes for their latest development and should allow all age ranges of local people to purchase homes in their own town."
