Luxury new homes to be launched in Wimbledon

A collection of luxury new homes in Wimbledon, south London, are to be are set to launch in January 2012 on the site of a former convent.

The development, called St Anne's Mews, is private gated development of much-needed family homes surrounded by mature trees. The scheme, developed by Shanly Homes, consists of eight desirable 3, 4 and 5 bedroom town houses located on The Downs, a popular area of Wimbledon. The development also includes the conversion of a 6 bedroom Victorian villa.

Inside, each home is unique in its design, with seven of the eight properties offering expansive accommodation across four floors, whilst plot eight is a three storey property. The seven, four storey properties all benefit from large living rooms with fully glazed French doors that open out onto the tiered back garden, creating a flow from inside to outside. Four of the homes also have expansive terraces leading from the lounge.

Externally, each house is designed to blend in its surroundings with, incorporating a mix of limestone, yellow brick and black slate roofs.

Sean Purtill, partner at Ellison's who are marketing the new St Anne's Mews development, comments: "There is a strong demand for good quality family homes in Wimbledon and this is an exceptional development which benefits from a great location - three of the eight properties are already reserved, despite the fact that the site hasn't officially launched yet, so we expect there to be a flood of interest when it officially opens early next year."

Prices for the remaining four and five bedroom homes at St Anne's Mews range from £1.7m to £2.25m. Prices for the villa are not yet released.
