James Hopkins, executive chairman of Hopkins Homes, has expressed his delight at Hopkins Homes' gold success for Best Brownfield Development for their Tibby's Triangle scheme in Southwold, Suffolk at the What House? Awards earlier this month.

The new homes developer believes that the What House? accolade, the most prestigious and longest established new homes awards in the UK, illustrates that his firm is "going from strength to strength."

"I am so delighted," said Hopkins. "I am delighted that Hopkins Homes is winning awards and competing against the very best. The What House? Awards are the industry's most prestigious and widely recognised award in Britain and to win gold is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates the commitment that everyone at Hopkins Homes has to achieving the very highest of standards in everything we do".

In the judge's report for Best Brownfield Development, they commented: "The development is successful on two levels; in its integration with the historic grain of the town and in its rich aesthetic; combining the traditional vocabulary of the town's historic housing in the choice of materials with cutting-edge modern detailing". They further commented: "Hopkins Homes have created a very special place, demonstrating that 21st-century development can enrich even the most sensitive historic environments."

Hopkins Homes currently offer 13 new home developments throughout the East of England.
