Hillreed Homes report that new homes sales are rising
New homes across a number of Hillreed Homes' developments in Sussex , Kent , Surrey and Hampshire are selling fast, according to the housebuilder.
The company currently has just one house remaining at Pease Pottage which is located in Crawley town, a short drive from Gatwick airport.
In Hillreed's Ditchling development, there is also just one house remaining, and this is the show home. Emett Gardens is just off East End Lane. The house is available at £1.2m and includes fitted carpets, curtains light fittings and a fully landscaped rear garden.
"We have found a steady stream of buyers, for properties in all price ranges, many of whom are cash" says Jo Richards, marketing and corporate manager at Hillreed Homes.
"Downsizing is one of the main reasons for the rise in the number of cash buyers in the market place for a new home; we have a diverse range of properties for sale allowing our customers plenty of choice when they move from their family homes into new low maintenance, energy efficient properties, which leave them the time to enjoy their hard earned weekends. Property prices are also helping the excellent sales levels, which following a recession are now at a good stable level."
Other areas within Sussex and Surrey where new homes are being marketed or due to be launched shortly by Hillreed Homes include Hassocks, Hailsham and Godalming. At Ashtead, already 50% of the site is sold.
"It is a good sign for everyone that property sales are on the move", concluded Richards. "New homes help the economy enormously, and in 2012 there has been a noticeable rise in buyers able to complete."
