Scottish housebuilder Robertson Homes is reporting a boom in sales across many of its developments of new homes in Scotland. For a four-week period from early June, actual sales were some 50 per cent higher than expected, against the industry trend illustrated by a recent survey from Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) that shows a dip in house sales nationwide for the month of June.
Among the most successful developments over that period were Westercraigs in Inverness and Kings Park in Ayr, where a flurry of sale followed the unveiling of a new show home. However, the company believes a range of incentives and assistance packages it has introduced account for the high sales rate across its range of developments across Scotland.
Sales and Marketing Director of Robertson Homes, Andrea Joyce says: "We are delighted to see such an up-lift in sales. Over the past few months we have spent time listening to customers concerns and have responded by developing a variety of packages and incentives to make moving to a new home easier for a range of people. A Robertson home, whether from our International or Boutique range, offers plenty of space and represents quality and value for money."
First-time buyers are being helped out with an 80%/20% shared equity scheme on selected plots and can also benefit from a scheme Robertson Homes calls "Your Dream Home Is Within Reach", where they will get a five per cent deposit paid, no Stamp Duty to pay, plus floor coverings and landscaped gardens.
Those with an existing home to sell have not been left out, with numerous incentives including a part exchange scheme, Easy Move removals programme, one-year mortgage-free offer, or having their deposit matched or Stamp Duty paid.
Robertson Homes is currently selling on 14 developments in North and Central Scotland, with a further six soon to come on board. Its International range of homes cover designs from starter homes to five-bedroom family homes, while its Boutique range has been created with award-winning interior designer Amanda Rosa, providing extra degrees of comfort and individuality with tailored packages.
Robertson Homes' Westercraigs development in Inverness is just one of the company's developments that saw a surge in sales in June
