Last few luxury apartments for sale in Elephant and Castle at Printworks

Just a few luxury apartments with one to three bedrooms remain at First Base's eye-catching, contemporary new development in Elephant and Castle, south London. With prices ranging from £270,000 to £520,000, there's still a good choice of different apartment layouts available at Printworks, some with a private balcony or terrace and all with access to a landscaped courtyard; an excellent option for both owner-occupiers and property investors.

The scheme features 164 apartments in total, and the remaining properties are available for full ownership. It's location, just south of Elephant and Castle station, makes it an excellent base for those needing access to the City, West End, Westminster or Docklands areas and many apartments boast striking panoramic views of the Capital's skyline.

"The location and high specification of the properties have been a major factor in the success of Printworks," says Alexia Turner of Savills, exclusive agents for the development. "From Elephant and Castle you can easily get to all of London's major commercial, retail and entertainment areas. The area itself is undergoing a dramatic transformation with new homes, shops and open spaces. Printworks has been equally popular with people buying to live here as those who see the investment potential and are renting out their apartments."

The interior specification is impressive, with sleek fitted kitchen units, brand-name appliances, granite worktops and luxurious bathrooms. The timber flooring and decking and floor-to-ceiling windows enhance the contemporary feel of the exterior architecture. Clever use has been made of space to provide useful storage areas. Just a couple of one-bedroom apartments are left for sale, costing from £270,000. The potential rental income from one of them is in the region of £325 per week, according to Savills estimates. Two-bedroom apartments all feature an en-suite bathroom and fitted wardrobes to the master bedroom in addition to a spacious second bedroom and family bathroom. With prices starting at £330,000, rental income is potentially up to £415 a week. Just a couple of three-bedroom apartments are still to be sold, priced from £415,000, which could yield upwards of £500 per week. This averages out at a potential rental yield of around six per cent per annum. All buyers have the option to purchase car and motorcycle parking spaces and storage cages too, for an additional charge.

"We're not expecting the remaining properties to stay on the market for very long," adds Alexia. "Our marketing suite and show apartments are open Tuesday to Friday 11am to 7pm and weekends 11am to 3pm and we'd recommend an early viewing to get the pick of the apartments available."
