Redrow Homes, already acclaimed for its innovative online ‘television channel', Redrow.TV, is taking its use of technology one step further by using ‘Microsoft Tag' barcodes on its marketing materials to enable house hunters to get instantaneous access to online information about Redrow new homes across the country.

By downloading the ‘Tag reader' software application to a phone or tablet, homebuyers can scan the barcode on an advert, sign or brochure into their device and load up the appropriate page from the Redrow website straight away.

"As far as we know we're the first UK housebuilder to use this technology so extensively," says Kim Peters, sales and marketing director for Redrow Homes.

The software works on most major mobile devices over a number of different platforms, including Android, Blackberry, iPhone, Windows Mobile and Windows Phone 7.

Redrow Homes, winner of a coveted Silver for Best Large Housebuilder at the 2010 What House? Awards, currently has dozens of new homes developments for sale all over the country, from ideal starter homes in the city to luxury family properties in lovely rural locations.
