The Barbican was built in the 1970s as social housing and offers mainly one and two bedroom apartments, many with balconies overlooking the central gardens and fountains.

Fleet Street, once the home of the UK’s press, is popular with city workers as new apartments are being constructed all the way to St. Paul's. Many of the1960s buildings have been knocked down and replaced.
