Overview of Merton
The Merton property market covers the following areas:
The most desirable area of Merton are Wimbledon and Wimbledon Village but for those who can’t afford the prices, why not settle for the north of Raynes Park, where properties are sought-after due to their proximity to Wimbledon. The area surrounding the station features small Edwardian terraces while larger three and four bedroom mid-war semis can be found further south.
Victorian terraces and mid-war semis can be found in Colliers Wood, and boasting tube access also makes the area desirable. North Mitcham offers larger 1930s houses and is popular for its good rail service while Mitcham Park features larger mid-war properties. A large concentration of period buildings can be found in the Fair Green area of Mitcham

Up and coming areas to buy flats and houses in Merton
For a long time Mitcham was considered the poorest and most run down area of Merton. However, the arrival of the Tramlink scheme, serving both nearby Croydon and Wimbledon, provided a welcome boost to the area. The boost looks set to continue as regeneration work for the town is currently in planning. Colliers Wood has also seen some regeneration and is good for those hunting cheap conversion properties
