Overview of Kensington & Chelsea
The Kensington & Chelsea property market covers the following areas:
Kensington & Chelsea is seen as one of London's most desirable boroughs. Excellent transport links, beautiful parks and fashionable shops and restaurants have created sky-high prices that put the borough beyond the reach of most homebuyers. The south of the borough is a sought-after location for the wealthier middle classes and city workers. Sloane Square and Pont Street in Chelsea offer redbrick mansion blocks housing apartments. Small but pricey Victorian terraces can be found off the King's Road and even properties that lie in the shadow of the Worlds End council estate in west Chelsea now command a high price. Larger properties can be found around South Kensington and West Brompton

Up and coming areas to buy flats and houses in Kensington & Chelsea
First impressions of North Kensington are off a slightly grimy area, not as pleasant as Kensington itself. However it offers some of the cheapest and most well-kept properties in the borough. Three- and four-bedroom Victorian terraces can be found off Ladbroke Grove. Social housing and a number of high-rise towers can be found to the east of the town. Following some regeneration work, the area has started to acquire a fashionable status, making it the hotspot of the borough

Major roads = A40, A404 and A4
Kensington & Chelsea offers excellent access to London Underground. Notting Hill Gate and Queensway are both on the Central line. Notting Hill Gate also provides access to the District and Circle lines, as does High Street Kensington, Sloane Square, South Kensington and Gloucester Road. Gloucester Road and South Kensington are also located on the Piccadilly line. Kensington station offers rail services to and from other London boroughs and destinations include Willesden Junction, Clapham Junction and Stratford. The borough’s proximity to central London also means there is an excellent choice of bus services available.
In the pipeline: A rail station is currently being built at Chelsea Harbour providing limited peak services on the West London Line. More frequent services look likely in the future
