Overview of Enfield

The Enfield property market covers the following areas:

Enfield is a borough of two extremes. Created through administrative mergers, the borough is an uneasy mix of affluent suburbia and rundown council estates. Palmers Green is good for apartment hunters as many of the Edwardian four and five bedroom houses have been converted. Winchmore Hill offers Victorian terraces and cottages around the centre with larger Edwardian and mid-war semis in roads towards Southgate. Enfield Town has Victorian terraces, larger Edwardian semis and numerous purpose built blocks fringing the town centre. Larger Georgian and Victorian family houses set in substantial gardens can be found around Gentlemen's Row, Enfield Town's most sought after location. Hadley Wood is semi-rural and a favoured haunt of the rich and famous as well as being home to many of Arsenal and Tottenham's first team.

Cheap areas to find flats and houses for sale in Enfield

Cheap areas to buy flats and houses are Edmonton, Palmers Green and Ponders End.

Up and coming areas to buy flats and houses in Enfield

Edmonton and Ponders End sit uneasily against the largely disused industrial sites along the River Lea. Earmarked for regeneration over the next decade, the property is at its cheapest here.

A mixture of late Victorian terraces, mid war semis and tower blocks feature in the area. Palmers Green is also an up and coming area. However although property prices are cheap there is currently no tube access.
