Overview of Ealing
The Ealing property market covers the following areas:
Ealing is popular with white collar workers and young professionals who crave a quick commute and more space than in the expensive borough’s of Fulham or Hammersmith. London's largest Indian and Sikh community, mostly clustered around Southall, favour the borough.
Mid war semis and blocks of flats feature in Greenford and Northolt. Northolt is generally cheaper than Greenford and features a lot of former social housing. Victorian and Edwardian terraces dominate West Ealing and Hanwell. Walpole Park in Ealing features neat roads of Victorian semis, terraces and detached villas. Grander properties can be found in Castlebar and Montpelier Park. Apartments and conversions are more common around Ealing Common. Norwood Green is popular for its green open space and Victorian terraces.

Up and coming areas to buy flats and houses in Ealing
Acton has some ugly council blocks around Acton Town station. However, following some regeneration, people are starting to discover the Victorian houses and conversions located in the area. Poet's Corner is an enclave of Victorian terraces and large flats. Meanwhile West Acton offers a distinctive mix of half-timbered houses and flats disguised as Tudor houses on the Hanger Hill Garden estate. With property prices lower than in other parts of the borough, Acton is up and coming.

Ealing is well located for travel on London Underground. Ealing Broadway is the last stop on the District and Circle lines, while Northolt and Greenford are situated on the spur of the Circle line, which runs to West Ruslip. Acton Town provides access to the Piccadilly line, which passes into central London, as well as access to the Heathrow spur. Ealing Broadway provides a rail link to London Paddington as well as Oxford and Berkshire. Rail services are also available from Greenford and Acton and destinations include Richmond, Stratford and North Woolwich.
Alternatively, why not take one of the many bus services available in the borough. They offer access to central London as well as further out to other London boroughs.
In the pipeline: The Cross River Transit is one of four tram schemes currently in planning. Running from King’s Cross to Elephant & Castle, the tram line will also have a spur running from Uxbridge via Ealing to Shepherd’s Bush. The scheme is not expected before 2011.
