Overview of Croydon
The Croydon property market covers the following areas:
Croydon has always been a popular location for commuters, as it has many railway stations with fast and frequent links to the city. New Addington was a purpose built town constructed largely in the 1960s. Bordered by green fields to the east and west, the town features apartments as well as and semi-detached housing. Although there is no railway station, frequent bus services run to Croydon and Bromley.
A mixture of 1920s and 1930s housing alongside larger detached properties can be found in Coulsden, Upper Norwood and Purley, commonly described as the sought-after areas of the borough with plenty of open space. Thornton Heath and Selhurst cater or smaller family homes with some social housing situated in the area.
