Overview of Camden
The Camden property market covers the following areas:
Camden is a cosmopolitan borough with a diverse range of property. From the serious wealth of London's trendy set who head towards Hampstead and Primrose Hill to the poverty of King’s Cross. Alongside British and Irish communities, the area has a mix of other cultures including African, Asian, Turkish and Jewish.
Young professionals are heading towards Bloomsbury and Holborn for Victorian and Georgian properties and apartments in converted office blocks. Victorian terraces and large mansions blocks dominate Hampstead while Primrose Hill offers an excellent selection of well-kept four- and five-storey white stucco Victorian houses.
The world-famous market in Camden attracts plenty of tourists. However, away from this lie many quiet leafy roads featuring a mixture of Victorian houses, Georgian terraces and council blocks.

Up and coming areas to buy flats and houses in Camden
King's Cross has a very chequered past, once being well-known for its red light district. Redevelopment and investment over the last few years has helped to change the area. Lots of former social housing is available, although houses tend to be rare and have often been converted into flats. Warehouse developments along the Regents Canal are popular.
Further regeneration plans for King’s Cross, will see the area become one of the borough’s hotspots. Kentish Town also has a number of scruffy corners, but with regeneration plans underway, the area looks set to become sought-after.
