Overview of Havering
The Havering property market covers the following areas:
Havering is London's most eastern borough and arguably offers the most open land. To the west of the borough is Romford. It has a large shopping centre and mainly consists of a mixture of Victorian terraces and mid war semis. A large number of bungalows can be found to the north of the town while new-build apartments occupy the area around the town centre. Gidea Park was created at the turn of the last century as a London garden suburb. It offers Edwardian semis in contrast to Romford. Harold Hill was created for social housing after the Second World War. Now most of properties are privately owned. Mid-war semis, Victorian homes and more modern properties are predominately found in Hornchurch, while in Upmister, prices are more expensive due to its tube link.
