Overview of Haringey

The Haringey property market covers the following areas:

Haringey saw plenty of turmoil in the mid eighties with the Broadwater Farm riots. The borough is still a stark contrast of wealth and poverty. Highgate, Muswell Hill and Crouch End are the most sought after locations in the borough.

However, Tottenham boasts little more than council estates and high unemployment. Finsbury Park has seen redevelopment over the last decade but still has a few scruffy edges. Handsome redbrick Edwardian houses and green leafy roads feature in Muswell Hill. Properties become smaller as you head towards Alexander Park. Bounds Green offers cheaper Edwardian homes and former social housing. Crouch End attracts a slightly younger crowd with large Edwardian properties converted in to large flats, popular with first time buyers.

Up and coming areas to buy flats and houses in Haringey

Tottenham still bares scars of some of the worst riots the country has seen during the mid 1980s. Much redevelopment and investment by the government has attempted to gloss over the grim estates. With some of the cheapest property prices in the borough and some excellent transport links, this is an up and coming area. Roads of 1930s semis with modern council properties can be found around White Hart Lane and Northumberland Park. The notorious Broadwater Farm estate has been revamped and more refurbishment is planned throughout the area. Properties nearest to Seven Sisters command the highest prices due to good transport links
