New BuildHomeBuy  |First-time Buyers Initiative
Homestake (Scotland) |Co-Ownership Housing  |Key Worker Living

This scheme is aimed at helping people on low incomes to own their own home. Homestake is aimed at first-time buyers, but also those whose life circumstances have changed and cannot afford the cost of home ownership.

A buyer will usually own between 60% and 80% of the property, with the remainder held by a registered social landlord using Homestake grant funding.

The scheme is run by Communities Scotland.

Am I eligible?
Homestake is aimed at people living in Scotland who cannot afford to buy a home outright. It applies to first-time buyers, disabled people and the elderly, as well as people whose life circumstances have changed such as after a marital breakdown.

For more information, see the Communities Scotland website.
