This scheme enables eligible tenants of registered social landlords (housing associations) the right to buy the property in which they live at a discount of between £9,000 and £16,000. It covers properties built or acquired by housing associations from April 1997.

Am I eligible?
To qualify, tenants must have been living in public sector housing or accommodation provided by the armed services for at least two years. For those who became tenants after January 2005, the minimum is five years.

There are some restrictions to eligibility. To find out more contact the Housing Corporation on 0845 230 7000, or contact your housing association.
