Scottish golfer putts Scholars Gate on the leaderboard in St Andrews

Recently, Scottish golfing legend and supporter of Arrhythmia Alliance, Bernard Gallacher OBE opened McCarthy & Stone's retirement development, Scholars Gate in St Andrews, by putting a ‘hole-in-one' in the grounds of the development.

At the event, McCarthy & Stone also took the opportunity to show their support for the Bernard Gallacher Defibrillator Campaign by donating £5,000 to the Arrhythmia Alliance - a charity that aims to ensure there is at least one public-access defibrillator at every golf club in the UK and Ireland.

WhatHouse? launches new free property newspaper for Scotland

We're extending our range of free monthly property newspapers from August 2014 with a new edition dedicated to Scotland. From early August the Scottish edition of WhatHouse? will be distributed to around 100,000 homes north of the border to the same ABC1 demographic as the four existing editions that are delivered by Royal Mail to 500,000 homes in the Home Counties, East Anglia and West Midlands.

As with the existing editions, there will be a heavy emphasis on original editorial content.
