Buy-to-let investors invited to Oakham development next weekend

From Friday 29 August to Sunday 31 August, housebuilder Larkfleet Homes is holding a special investors event at its Leighfield Park development in Oakham, Rutland.

Over the three days, Larkfleet will provide buy-to-let investors with details of the full range of properties available at Leighfield Park, including tours of the development's three show homes on-site. Free financial advice will also be on offer and a local letting agent will be on hand to provide rental and landlord advice to anyone interested in purchasing a property to let out.

Oakham resident awarded £1,000 as ‘thank you’ for Larkfleet referral

Bridgette Tan, a resident at the Larkfleet Homes Leighfield Park development in Oakham, has been awarded £1,000 for referring the development to a friend who has now also purchased a property there.

Mrs Tan moved to Leighfield Park just over two years ago and was so impressed with the development she recommended it to her friend Christina Hall.

Larkfleet Homes to host a first-time buyer advice weekend in Oakham

Residential property developer Larkfleet Homes is holding a ‘first-time buyers' weekend' at its Leighfield Park development in Oakham, Rutland, on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March.

Finance and mortgage specialists will be on hand on Saturday 29 March to offer advice and explain options such as the government-backed Help to Buy scheme which is available at the development.

Weekly affordable homes round-up

The government has launched a multi-billion pound housing programme which will see up to 165,000 new affordable homes developed between 2015 and 2018.

The programme, which was announced in June, will see the government commit £2.9bn to the scheme with a further £20bn coming from the private sector.

Housing minister Kris Hopkins says: "Housebuilding is an essential part of this government's long-term economic plan. That's why we have designed an ambitious new scheme to build affordable homes at the fastest rate for 20 years."

Larkfleet offers exclusive 2.39% mortgage deal

Residential property developer Larkfleet Homes has signed an exclusive deal with Melton Mowbray Building Society which will give qualifying buyers of Larkfleet properties access to a mortgage at just 2.39% interest for the first three years.

After the initial period the rate goes up to the building society's standard variable rate which is currently 4.99% - giving an overall cost over the life of the mortgage of 4.5% APR.

Bellway unveils show home at Rutland new homes development

Bellway Homes has signalled the start of a major housing development in Rutland with the launch of The Maltings, a development that will bring some 200 homes to the village of Barleythorpe. The Maltings forms part of the wider Oakham North development which will create 1,100 new homes on land between Barleythorpe, Lands' End Way in Oakham and the Oakham bypass.

The developer marked the occasion with the unveiling of a new show house at the site and a champagne reception.

The Lincolnshire-based housebuilder Larkfleet Homes has installed a charging point for electric cars at Leighfield Park in Oakham, which is currently being developed by the company. Leighfield Park is the first phase of Oakham Heights, Larkfleet's major urban expansion of Oakham, located on land between the Oakham bypass and Barleythorpe Road.
