Edinburgh loses ‘most expensive property' crown

Recent figures released by the Registers of Scotland reveal that East Dunbartonshire has overtaken Edinburgh as the local authority area in Scotland with the highest average house price. Property prices in the city of Edinburgh have fallen from an average of £229,691 in July-September 2010 to £216,597 in the quarter from October to December 2010, a decrease of 5.7%.

New homes in Wiltshire selling like hotcakes

New home sales at Redrow's The Glades development in the village of Downton, Wiltshire, have soared during the early part of 2011, with the developer selling five properties in just two weeks. Exactly half of all the properties in the development have now been sold.
