Plans for the construction of just over 200 new homes in the Gloucestershire town of Newent will be considered by planners at Forest of Dean District Council today (Tuesday 8 May).
Separate planning applications have been submitted for two major residential developments. One is for up to 120 new homes off Foley Road and the other for 91 homes off Onslow Road.
Additional plans include the construction of a new access road from Foley Road, as well as new open spaces.
Gloucestershire holds bags of appeal for house hunters who are searching for a place to live that combines the peace and tranquillity of the countryside with a choice of vibrant towns offering good business opportunities and plenty of things to see and do. With great shopping in the prosperous spa town of Cheltenham and the city of Gloucester; lively markets in Cirencester, Stroud and Tewkesbury; and the beautiful landscapes of the Cotswolds, the Severn Valley and the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire is a great place to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
