New affordable homes in London

A new development featuring 164 homes, including 44 new affordable homes and 38 for shared ownership, is set to be developed in Camden Town, northwest London, after Camden Council's planning committee passed plans for the scheme. A Victorian factory in St Pancras Way will now be demolished to make way for the scheme.

Howzat? Village cricket club bowled over by Linden Homes donation

Developer Linden Homes has continued to build on its community links by stumping up a donation to a cricket club in the North Yorkshire village of Thorpe Willoughby.

The village's cricket club netted the cash from Linden Homes at the recent unveiling of the house builder's show home at the new Willeby Heights development.

The presentation of £250 - which will help to pay for new cricket nets and astro turf - was made to one of the club's founders and current chairman Dennis Powell, by Linden Homes sales manager Julie Hubbard.

UK’s first Community Land Trust unveiled by Mayor of London

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson took time out of his busy schedule last week to officially unveil the UK's first ever urban Community Land Trust in Mile End, East London. The event marked the start of Linden Homes' St Clement's development in the area on the site of a former hospital, with the first homes expected to be released for sale next year.
