Hugh Osmond

New home development firm Crest Nicholson was the subject of a £350m takeover bid last week from Hugh Osmond, the business tycoon, it was revealed today.

Osmond, who is behind established firms such as Pizza Express and Punch Taverns, is actively targeting companies, adversely affected by the recession, that potentially now offer value for money.
