Weekly affordable homes round up

The Government's Affordable Homes Programme is likely to be delayed beyond its 2015 deadline according to an independent report by the National Audit Office (NAO). The £1.8bn programme is designed to deliver around 80,000 affordable homes.

The report found that more than half of the new homes planned under the scheme are not scheduled to be delivered until 2015, the final year of the scheme, increasing the chance that there could be delays to the whole scheme, the NAO said.
