House-hunters in Lancashire currently only looking at property to rent because they feel they might not be able to afford to buy should think again, as they could find the help they need to get on the property ladder at Redrow Homes' Harbour Village development in Fleetwood.

Award-winning Redrow Homes, recently crowned the nation's Best Large Housebuilder at the What House? Awards 2011, has just a handful of apartments left unsold at its popular Spinners Mews development in Chadderton, on the western outskirts of Oldham.

Thanks to an initiative administered by Manchester City Council, many house hunters who may otherwise have thought a new-build home in Manchester was beyond their means can own one at Redrow's Hanson Gardens scheme in Moston with an up-front payment of just 75% of the full purchase price.

With just a few properties remaining unsold at the popular North Yorkshire new homes site, there may not be long for house hunters in the Selby area to snap up one of the two-, three- or four-bedroom properties at Redrow's Mulberry Grange in Hambleton.

Redrow is helping first time buyers get their foot on the property ladder with their easi:buy shared equity scheme at Rossendale Gardens, ten miles south west of Leicester in the ancient town of Earl Shilton. With easi:buy, a first time buyer can put down just five per cent of the purchase price of their new home and find a mortgage for 80% of the value of the property.
