Belfast project ‘not shelved’

The £365m Royal Exchange Regeneration Scheme in a rundown part of Belfast city centre has not been shelved, the Department of Social Development (DSD) has announced.

There were fears among some that the project around Donegall Street and Royal Avenue will be scrapped following the suspension of £110m of state funding for the construction scheme.
