Housing association Thames Valley Housing will be holding open day this Saturday 5th February at Hurlington Court - the final phase of affordable homes at the Queen Mary's Place development in Roehampton.

New home developer Orbit Build, established by Orbit Homes six months, has made a good start to developing the company's outright sales led new home developments and is currently on schedule with its first project.

Many people who have purchased an affordable home at any one of Southern Housing Group's new home developments in London will be offered free training to provide energy saving hints, tips advice and services to residents as part of a scheme aimed at reducing fuel poverty in Hackney.

Essential Land and Altyon, in partnership with Delancey, have purchased 26.6 acres of GlaxoSmithKline land holding in Beckenham, a town in the London borough of Bromley, with a view to building a selection of new homes, along with various commercial, leisure and community facilities. This is the second time that the businesses have teamed up to develop out a mixed use site, the previous occasion being a site in Sittingbourne.

The South East London Affordable Homes Show, which will promote over 500 affordable homes for sale, will be held in Greenwich on Saturday 19th February 2011 at the Queen Mary Room, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, between 11am and 4pm.

Many property experts have already slammed the government over their proposed new housing policies, including the localism bill, which is restricting the supply of much needed new homes in this country, due to the growing ‘not in my backyard' attitude from many local residents.

But now the plans to force social housing tenants to move out of their homes once their circumstances change, have also been damned by housing experts.

Housing association Thames Valley Housing is to host an open day on Saturday 5th February at Hurlington Court - the final phase of affordable homes in Roehampton, at the Queen Mary's Place development.

There's no doubt that many prospective housebuyers currently searching for their first new homes in Lancashire are finding it difficult to come up with the deposit required by many lenders or are unable to secure an affordable mortgage. As if to add insult to injury, rents appear to be rising fast in some areas as the people unable to buy apply pressure to the limited supply in the rental market.
