Welcome to the What House? Awards, Britain’s oldest and most respected residential property awards. Widely known as the ‘Oscars’ of the housebuilding industry, the awards are now in their 27th year, continuing to raise the bar for quality new homes.
The Awards are organised by Globespan Media Limited, publishers of industry magazine Show House, and consumer website What House?, and part of Trinity Mirror plc.
Our esteemed panel of judges are experts in the property industry, from architects to journalists. They collectively appraise hundreds of new property developments, eventually finding winners in 20 separate categories.
Seal of approval
The What House? Awards are open to all housebuilders and developers, large and small, as well as housing associations. And while these are industry awards, they also offer quality assurance to the purchaser of new homes.
Rupert Bates, editorial director of Globespan Media, says: "The awards are the ultimate symbols of excellence in a fiercely competitive field. With housing at the forefront of political, economic, social and environmental agendas, the country is watching the industry's every move. With government calls to build far, far more new homes each year, housebuilders must not only deliver the numbers, but the quality, with sustainability at the core of everything they do."
