What House? Awards 2009 - The Best New Homes in Britain
Catergory 2 - Best Large Housebuilder
The What House? Awards are the Oscars of the housebuilding industry, now in their 28th year, and are a celebration of the Best New Homes in Britain. The gala ceremony will be held as a luncheon at the prestigious Grosvenor House hotel on London's Park Lane on Friday 20th November 2009.
Winning Best Large Housebuilder acknowledges the succesful companies overall efforts over the past year. The panel of judges will have focused not only on the quality and design of the houses built, but also on all aspects of the housebuilders' performance including site presentation, sales staff, contractors, standard of after-sales service and overall customer care.
Entry to Best Large Housebuilder
This award is only open to companies building a least 1,000 units a year. Judges are looking at every aspect of their performance from design, product, range, build quality, value for money, maketing, after-sales service and customer care. This should be backed up with photographs and any other reason why the entry is worthy of being considered for one of the industry's top accolades.
An Entry for this award will automatically be considered for Housebuilder of the Year (category 1)
Judging
When all entries have been received, an extensive panel of property experts, including architects, surveyors, property writers and industry specialists, will prepare a shortlist of the best entries in each category. Each shortlisted entry will then be visited and a detailed report drawn up before judges reach their final decisions. Up to three awards - Gold, Silver and Bronze - will be made in each category (apart from Category1).
Where entries are deemed of insufficient merit, the number of awards may be reduced in that category.
Written reports detailing the judges' decisions will be made available at the conclusion of What House? Awards presentation luncheon. The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
