New home developer Pentland Homes has announced that it will soon launch a new phase of new build homes in Kent, with prices starting from £165,000.

The new homes Bayeuxfields, Hawkinge, will all be exempt from the stamp duty for first time buyers, following last week's Budget announcement regarding the stamp duty relief on homes priced under £250,000.

The next phase at Bayeuxfields, Hawkinge, will include two bedroom homes priced from £165,000 and three bedroom homes priced from £185,000.

Janet Burnell, sales and marketing director of Pentland Homes, comments: "The Budget announcement is wonderful news for first time buyers. We have been incorporating stamp duty payments into our incentive offers as a way of helping purchasers, but now that stamp duty is exempt on properties below £250,000, we can help in other ways.

"We will be offering to pay 5% of the deposit, which means a first time buyer on a 90% mortgage will only need to find 5% of the purchase price and legal fees, which equates to just over £9,000 on a two bedroom house here, making that step onto the property ladder much more achievable."

The next phase at Bayeuxfields is due to launch in early June 2010 and incorporates a range of two, three and four bedroom homes. The new homes each feature a kitchen, cloakroom and living/dining area that leads out to the garden on the ground floor.

Hawkinge is located on the crest of the North Downs, just three miles from the coastal resort of Folkestone which benefits from the new CTRL link to London's St Pancras International with journey times taking approximately one hour.
